Colors in Winter

My mom has been reading the blog The Outdoor Challenge. We were trying to find some colors even though it was winter. Sometimes it's hard to find colors, at least very many colors, in the winter. Because leaves have fallen off of the trees. The flowers don't have any color because they've all died. That's the reason, I thought it was a challenge. Don't you think that's a little bit of a challenge?

Here is a picture of a tree that's at our house. I found green and brown in the tree and white in the sky.

I found lots of gray rocks and brown bushes and a lot of colors that I haven't learned very well yet.

I found this bush that had red and green on it. There was a rock in the back that I caught in my picture too. It's gray. There's dirt too. It's brown and black.

This is a picture that I thought was pretty cool. I took it (like all of them). I saw yellowish-green trees behind the neighbor's house. I saw dark green trees with brown trunks. I saw green ferns. And I saw brown leaves all over the ground. I saw light-green in the grass in the neighbor's cow pasture.

I didn't see any snow because all of our snow finished melting yesterday.

Oh, here's a picture I didn't take. My daddy took this one. I thought it was kind of cute. It's got snow in it. It's from Grandma & Grandpa's house. I see orange, blue, white, black and gray in this picture.

How many colors can you find around your house?

  2. You did a great job with the photos and then giving them captions. I loved the one with the house and the colored trees just peeking out in the back. Your dad's photo of the birds is awesome. I would print it out and put it in a frame because I really love birds.

I am glad you tried the challenge.
